The family-friendly event offers music of all genres.
There are 15 free shows throughout the summer and three benefit shows to help BRIC continue its mission of providing education, entertainment and ways to help better communities.
The theme for this year’s festival is “Radical Joy,” which organizers said is meant to share positivity and unity.
“We understand that it’s tough times out here for people,” said Saidah Blount, executive director of BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn. “I think that one of those things that New York City does better than any other city in the world -- we know how to have a good summer. We want people to come out, have a good time, spread the joy, listen to some music, make a new friend.”
Celebrate Brooklyn runs through Sept. 19.
