A section of Branchville Road (Route 102) in Ridgefield is closed Monday morning after a tree came down onto power lines, according to the Ridgefield Police Department.

The closure affects the area between Stony Hill Road and Middlebrook Lane, and drivers are being asked to use Old Branchville Road as a detour.

The incident was reported around 7 a.m., and crews are working to remove the tree and repair the damaged lines. It’s not yet clear how long the road will remain closed.
