Nearly two dozen homes are under a boil water order on Sunday after crews completed repairs to a water main break in South Nyack.
The ruptured pipe at the intersection of Clinton Avenue and South Broadway impacted
hundreds of customers on Saturday.
Tommy Savas told News 12 he is relieved the repairs are done.
"The good thing about this is that they fixed it so fast. Things like this do happen and their response was great. Twenty-four hours and everything is back up and running, you’ve got to be grateful for that,” he said.
The boil water order will continue until further notice. An official with the Village of Nyack Water Department says it could be lifted by early next week, depending on the results of the water sample safety testing.
