Nassau County police are investigating after a body was discovered at North Woodmere Park on Tuesday.

Authorities say officers were called to the park around 11 a.m. for what appeared to be a body floating in the water.

After assessing the scene, police confirmed it was a human body located in a marsh area of the park.

The identity of the individual has not yet been determined, and the investigation remains ongoing.
