A search for a missing person ended Thursday with the discovery of a body at Lovers Leap State Park in New Milford, says Connecticut DEEP Environmental Conservation Police.

Authorities say there is no indication of criminal intent and no danger to the public.

The park was closed for several hours but reopened early Thursday afternoon.

Officials say the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
