The owners rallied on Thursday calling for additional security measures to keep employees safe, including panic buttons.
In one shocking incident in the Bronx, a suspect tried to slash the workers behind the counter before one of them chased him out of the store with a baseball bat.
News 12 has also reported many armed robberies of bodegas in Brooklyn this year.
