A pretty distinctive front passed through New Jersey in the wee hours of Monday morning. Blustery winds are and will continue to be the byproduct of that weather system.
Colder air from Canada will funnel into New Jersey, producing an extra snap to the air through the overnight hours. While temperatures look to be near seasonal, the breeze will make it feel chillier at the bus stop or train station. Please dress for the autumn chill in the morning.
Colder air will wrap around a larger upper-level storm system. Early sunshine will try to warm the surrounding air at ground level. That warmer air will rise, where it will collide with the incoming cold aloft. Clouds will quickly collect and, at times, look menacing. A rogue shower will likely pop up periodically through the late afternoon.
Another quick-moving frontal boundary will slide across New Jersey late tomorrow night. Occasional and organized showers will appear just before midnight and linger through the overnight. The wet weather should be out of the area by daybreak. The rest of the week will be sunny and slightly cooler than average. A nice, true shot of autumnal air.
