With temperatures as low as the single digits throughout parts of Brooklyn, bitter blasts of wind and icy sidewalks are expected for pedestrians this morning.
However, there is some good news from drivers as black ice seems rare on roads throughout the boroughs, as DSNY deployed over 20 million pounds of salt starting Sunday morning.
Hot spots for ice include Bed-Stuy and Bushwick around the Wykoff Avenue and the L train entrances.
With ice on the ground remember to take small steps and keep your weight over your feet to prevent a slip.
The cold conditions are expected to continue into at least the weekend.
