Better skies as we head into Memorial Day weekend

Conditions are finally starting to improve after a cold and gloomy week.

The stubborn low pressure that gave the region rain the past few days will continue to move slowly off the Maine coast.
Slow improvements are expected for the Memorial Holiday weekend.
Saturday will feature more clouds than sun with an isolated shower.
More sunshine is expected for Sunday, with highs still slightly below average.
The holiday will be a winner, with abundant sunshine and seasonable temperatures.
FORECAST:
Saturday: Clouds, some sun. A stray shower is possible. High of 62. Lows near 50.
Sunday: Partly sunny. High of 68. Lows near 51.
Memorial Day: Mostly sunny. High of 72. Lows near 52.
Tuesday: Partly sunny. High of 71.
Wednesday: Scattered showers. High of 65.
