This morning is Scott Natson, the Beth Page state park director. Scott, a whole lot of questions this morning about the rain and what may happen today. Luckily tomorrow is looking like good weather, but let's talk about how much has gone into this event over the last, and you said years. Absolutely. I've I've been the director here since 2019. We've been planning since day one since I've been here. The contract this event was signed in 2013. A lot of them have been here for 25 or 30 years, been here for the US Open, the PGA championships. I've been excited about it and planning for it for a long time. I mean, and we were talking about just to see this place transform has been so special. It's been world class. Everything that has been thrown up in the last couple of months because it's still a public course. People are still playing on it, absolutely, and that's the unique part about this event is that we are a public course and we did operate until September 7th on at least two courses, the red and the blue stayed open until September 7th. We closed the yellow, the green, and the black after play on August 17th. Most clubs that host this kind of event closed six months in advance, but we operated until two weeks before. I mean, when you hear that, you think that's unbelievable, but those type of stats. But again, it's the hard work of your team and what you've been putting in for all of these years. 100%, uh, our director of agronomy, Andy Wilson, who oversees the the golf course maintenance, uh, the black horse superintendent Mike Hadley, both have been here 25+ years. Uh, Andy Wilson started as a, as a seasonal employee here in Bethpage State Park, basically picking trash as a 16 year old. He's he's from the neighborhood, um, and he's been here now plus 30 years, and he's running the best golf course in the country. Oh, I love hearing stories like that real quickly, they're going to do all they can to protect the black today. That's why. A junior PGA was moved back to Glen Cove. Is that really is what's top of mind right now to keep it good for tomorrow? Absolutely. We haven't had much rain here in the last 30 days, so the course is actually ready for it. We could actually use some rain. The staff, our golf course staff has been out there hand watering teas and greens for the last 30 days because it has been so dry, so the golf course is ready to take it. What a cool inside look.
