Bethpage High School is set to host the first ever county championship game for girls wrestling on Sunday.
About 18 teams across Long Island are taking park in the tournament.
Competing athletes say they’re glad to be part of the event.
“It's exciting to know that this is the first for all girls. I get to host it at my school. I'm excited for wrestling,” said Autumn Obritis.
Winners will go on to qualify for the state championship later this month in Albany.
