For one last time. This summer, we're celebrating the best beaches in New Jersey. Heading into the Labor Day weekend. Lauren de is in Long Branch. Lauren. No trip to the shore is complete without some vanilla ice cream even at 615. Yeah, exactly. Dick. I know you love vanilla ice cream. But this place went viral for their ice cream. We're with Joe, the owner of Coney Waffle here. Thank you for opening up early this morning. Thanks for, thanks for coming in. Great to have you just vanilla ice cream, right? Yeah, we have over 50 flavors and maybe 60. Now, I think we're up to 60 flavors. So talk about going viral. So back in 2016, you know, we had our side show shake. They came in and did a video of it and it went viral and the line went out the door. We didn't know what was happening and we're like, what is this viral video? What's going on? It's so great because we're in family business. Yes. Yes. It was born in uh born in the forties with my grandmother and my dad serving waffles and ice cream on the boardwalk in Coney Island. And uh we brought it here to New Jersey. We revived it and uh this is it, it's a handheld confection here that you can walk and eat down the boardwalk. You don't need a knife and fork. You know, there was no knife and fork back then in, in Coney Island. So this is it. That's the waffle giant cookies. Giant waffles, giant cake. Yes. All done in our store in Belmar. Uh We make everything. We do collaborations with different local businesses. We just did uh Cannoli Pioli with Lavos. We did uh Finn's Passion Ride. We uh we're doing their shake there and we're doing a lot of fun stuff. Why? Long Branch? Yeah. So, you know, it was the next step in the natural progression of where we were going to open. It's up and coming. It was an up and coming area at the time and tremendous amount of traffic here and a lot of great people. A wonderful beach, great food, great restaurants, great shopping. It's just, it's just really a nice place. Yeah, it's really, we love Long Ranch. Yeah. It's been real good to us. So I love waffles and ice cream. What flavors do you have on this? All right. So on this one, we have our pistachio, we have our Superman ice cream. Don't fly around the store after you eat it. All right. And then we have our lemon bar ice cream, which is very popular. It's made with real lemons. Can I take a bite? Absolutely. Get in there. Get in there. We're in Long Ranch Cody Waffle the first stop of the day. Here we go. You're doing it right. For one last time this summer, we are celebrating the best beaches in New Jersey. We're heading into this Labor Day weekend with Lauren De in Long Branch. Lauren. Some might say, reading a book on the sand is, well, really just the perfect beach day. Exactly. Having an indie bookstore right on the beach is absolutely perfect. We have Tory here. I mean, what's the approach to selling a book at the book house? Um We really wanna have that like human approach. We like to think of ourselves as sort of like a punk rock bookstore. We really wanna connect the stories to the people and the people to the stories. Um, I think a lot is lost when we have it be so digitized. So having the in person bookstore, um, everybody loves to come in and just touch and feel and look. Um, it's really good to just like pick up a and just look at the cover and know what you're actually getting yourself into. But also stories are really powerful. So, um just having the stories here for people to come in and to look and to really just make it more of a human experience is really what we go for. What are the top sellers? We're standing in front of the best seller. Um Well, we have like a couple of different like things for people. So Chris and Hannah has been incredibly popular with a lot of uh the people that come into the store. She has a lot of historical fiction that's been doing really well. The Women is her most recent title and it's been on the New York Times best list for weeks and weeks. And also in store people have been coming in and you have copies available if someone's watching and they're like, let's go to, we have a lot of copies available. So please, if you want a copy of the woman, like hurry up. Ok. And let's walk down here, let's show everyone what the store looks like because it's huge and you will be fantastic kids section. This is so cute. I love the clouds above and the painting. Amazing. Yeah. No, my coworker Megan, she's like really artsy. She's the best. She also um did the little gruff thing in the corner, I think it's so cute. Um And then she did these clouds with just i the the like the inserts to like a cushion so like that fabric and then also fishing wire and she made these wonderful clouds that kids love to just jump and try to hit you well, you know what I say, you know what to worry, we should just grab a book. I'm gonna read the Taylor Swift Body. That's what you're gonna read. Um I would probably go for uh Eric Carl books. These are the classics we're gonna see. We're gonna be K, so let's read a book. For one last time this summer, we're celebrating the best beaches in New Jersey summer, wrapping up, heading into Labor Day weekend. Neutral New Jersey's Lauren do is in long branch with a look at the many shops and boutiques there. Lauren. Yeah, Nick doing some shopping in sa you probably know. But did you know that suede and leather are coming back in style Bella here with wish, I mean, really? Yes, they're totally back in. We're getting a lot of new textures for the fall and winter season coming up as you can see here. We're in like kind of a transitional period right now between summer and fall and it's really exciting for us. Um, yeah, it's really cool as you can see. I love it and is open year round so you could get some of these fall and like winter pieces. Yes, we are open year round. We're gonna be getting in some cool beanies and scarves and things for the winter season coming up. I'm really excited for it. It's not gonna be as crazy as it is in the summer, but we do ship on Instagram and we have a lot of local clientele that shop, like, annually. We have a lot of people that want from us. So we keep it up. Your boss is only store. Yeah. Right here in long. And there's so many pieces that you can only get here too. Like this one, I'm obsessed with this dress here. So cute. And then this blue one over here, we love this one too. The Tweeds in, yeah, Tweeds and Tweeds in. Crochets in my boss. She does a lot of like, shopping, like, for specialty things that you could only get at select few boutiques. You know, she wants to keep it really special for our clientele. You know, a lot of that. She's, she's great. She's awesome. I love it. I love everything in here. I mean, thank you so much. There is so much fun. You have such a great job with like all the fun clothes here. Yeah. What is your favorite part about being in Long Branch? Just the environment, the people out for our, um, annual shoppers. The beach being right across the street. It's a great job. A great environment. You can just literally see the beach and how, like, happy it makes people and just making people happy. It's just a great job. I really do enjoy it. Who doesn't like new clothes? Who doesn't like new clothes? Who doesn't like the beach? You know? Exactly. That is where we are today. We're in Long Branch. Lauren, dude. He's from New Jersey.

For one last time. This summer we're celebrating the best beaches in New Jersey into Labor Day. Weekend, New New Jersey Law and do is in long branch. Final stop LA in a popular picturesque seafood restaurant. Yeah, Nick and Simon. This view doesn't get any better. The oceanfront restaurant. This is Rooney's oceanfront. I mean, look at this, this is just gorgeous, this view that we have here. We have Darryl here. I mean, it doesn't get any better than this. If you ask me if you want a meal and you want to enjoy the ocean, you can't beat it. No, not today. It's a perfect day. Waves are booming and the sun's out. So it's a perfect day and it's comfortable here too. Yes, this is great. So, you've been around for nearly 30 years. Yes, June will be your 30 year. What makes this place so popular? You know what I love about Nie is that someone could come off the beach to this table, someone could be celebrating their anniversary and someone could have a business meeting all three tables right next to each other and no one even knows. And we have a little bit of everything for the, um, people. You know, it's just one of those restaurants that's special. You know, we've been here before. It all. This is 29 years. The beachfront north was 25 years ago and I think Pierre Village, which is 20 years ago. So we just been here, uh, before it all started, we have security guards in the parking lot while people were dining because that's how long ago it was in Long Branch and how busy does it get? You need a reservation to come here? Um Definitely, I would suggest it that especially on the weekends and then our Sunday brunch which starts at the last Sunday in September. That's like a must reserve. Well, everyone is so sad about summer ending but I know here at Rudy's is just beginning. It is, it is brunch is gonna start up and we have some fancy little things. We are gonna start sushi this year. Ok. So we are going to bring in some high end sushi to the Long Branch area. Amazing, Darryl. Thank you so much for this. This is amazing. It's great.
