A Bergen County police officer responding to a call was taken to the hospital after a crash in Paramus on Tuesday.
The crash happened around 5 p.m. at the intersection of Ridgewood and Highland Avenue. Police said the officer had lights and sirens activated before the collision.
Both the 62‑year‑old driver and the officer were taken to the hospital. They are expected to be OK.
An investigation is ongoing.
