A Shore standout made history with a record-tying performance in the WNBA.

Marina Mabrey scored 53 points in Toronto’s win over Los Angeles.

The Belmar native and Manalapan High School graduate matched the highest single-game scoring total in WNBA history.

Officials say the 53-point mark has now been reached three times.

Mabrey also tied another record, knocking down nine 3-pointers in the game.

The 29-year-old led the Toronto Tempo to a dominant 125-97 victory over the Sparks.
