A Bellmore staple is back in business.
Morning Rose Cafe held its soft reopening on Tuesday.
The brunch spot unexpectedly closed in September after being open for 12 years.
News 12 is told the restaurant was sold after the original owner retired.
The head chef and many former staff are back on board with the reopening.
"Everyone was upset to hear that it was going, so we figured we'd get the excitement of everybody to bring it back the same way as they remember it,” says Morning Rose Cafe co-owner Bryan Kalikow.
The official grand reopening takes place on New Year’s Day.
