Thousands of brand-new slippers are headed to families across Westchester County thanks to the generosity of a Bedford man.

John "Soho Johnny" Pasquale is the founder of the non-profit Let Me Help Inc. He donated the slippers, which were distributed among around 20 entities that primarily serve the Hispanic community. The shoes cost just shy of $70,000.

Around 30 to 40 student volunteers from the Town of Greenburgh helped to make the magic come alive.

Event organizer Robin Bikkal says "Project Warm Feet" is just a way to give back to the community. "I think it's a pleasure to help out the community because I grew up here, so it's something good to be able to give back," said volunteer Jayden Siavichay. The shoes came in all colors and sizes.
