The one and only Dwight Schrute from "The Office" is coming to The Palace Stamford next month.
"A Live Conversation with Rainn Wilson" is slated for Friday, Nov. 7 at 8 p.m.
Fans can relive the magic of "The Office" with a screening of one of the show's most iconic episodes, followed by a special behind-the-scenes look at how Wilson brought his memorable character to life.
“One of the reasons 'The Office' has been around so long and is still beloved by fans, is it has such heart," Wilson says. "Yes, there’s great jokes and crazy characters, and people running into things and falling down, and great little comedy hijinks, but every character has a human beating heart. There’s enough of those humane moments that make it lasting, and that’s why the fans just keep coming back."
There will also be a look-a-like contest for fans who don their favorite mustard yellow shirts, put on their Dwight Schrute eyeglasses and comb their hair down the middle.
"You can't just put on a three-wolf moon T-shirt and walk in and expect to win," Wilson says. "I want to see maybe Dwight from a specific episode, and you have to get the mustard yellow right."
It will be a homecoming for Wilson.
Back in 1993, he performed in a play alongside Al Pacino at The Rich Forum at the Stamford Center for the Arts.
