The Church Avenue subway station in Flatbush is undergoing service changes due to a project that is expected to help with safety and accessibility at the station.
Construction is affecting both the B and Q train lines. Brighton Beach-bound B trains and Stillwell Ave. bound-Q trains are skipping the station. This is expected to be in effect through early October.
Other service disruptions include: no express trains and the B train is running local from Prospect Park to Kings Highway.
The MTA says this is all to help with the safety and accessibility of the station. The new elevators, staircases, and reparations of the sidewalk and platform will help make the station compliant with ADA rules, making it more open to all New Yorkers needs.
