A staff member has been arrested following an alleged incident involving a resident at an autism center in Dutchess County.
State police said Melinda Dorn worked at the Anderson Center for Autism in the town of Hyde Park.
Dorn is accused of flipping a couch twice while a resident was laying on it, causing the resident to fall to the floor.
Dorn was charged with endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person, state police said.
