An arrest has been made after a reported sexual assault inside the City Center complex in White Plains, with a suspect now facing multiple felony charges, police say.

Investigators said the assault happened Tuesday night inside a stairwell at the City Center and involved a 20‑year‑old woman who knew the suspect.

Police identified the suspect as 22‑year‑old Xavier Fonseca Overton of Queens.

Authorities said Overton is facing multiple charges, including rape.

Officials confirmed the suspect and victim were known to each other.

The investigation remains active as detectives continue reviewing the circumstances surrounding the case.
