A Hudson Valley animal rescue group is asking for help after a fire damaged part of its facility in Putnam County.
The fire broke out Tuesday night at a home on Sodom Road in the Town of Southeast.
Officials say the property includes two apartments and a rear area where several dogs are housed for S.N.A.R.R. Animal Rescue.
Everyone inside, including the animals, made it out safely.
However, a rescue official says the group lost about eight kennel spaces due to the damage.
“Any financial donations… also fostering—we’re desperately looking for foster homes for our animals,” the official said.
Authorities believe the fire may have been caused by an electrical issue.
The group is now asking the public for help, including donations and foster volunteers.
Anyone interested in fostering can find more information on the organization’s Facebook page, click here.
