All lanes are closed in both directions North of Rt 71/Broad St in Eatontown due to downed pole and wires.
Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour.
Route 35 is closed from the CVS at the entrance to Fort Monmouth up to Broad Street which is Route 71 by the McDonald's.
No word on what caused the wires and utility pole to come down at this time.
Police are directing traffic.
Utility crews are on scene.
