Agencies assist Southampton Town police headquarters amid power outage

Police say the situation is currently under control.

Southampton Town Police say they have lost power at their headquarters in Hampton Bays.
The power went out overnight and a backup generator clicked off around 9 a.m.
Police say that the generator is now back up and running.
Suffolk County and other neighboring police agencies were assisting them with dispatch calls while the power was out.
A cause for the outage has not been identified.
