WHAT TO KNOW:
  • Cloudy all weekend.
  • Warmer early this morning than this afternoon.
  • Showers expected to arrive this afternoon, less numerous on Sunday afternoon.
  • Rain early Monday morning, then mostly cloudy.
  • Cold and clear through Thursday before rain returns.
Do you have plans this afternoon? Grab the umbrella! Steady light showers are expected after 11 a.m. and will be on and off for the rest of the afternoon and evening. A cold front on Monday morning will sweep the rain and clouds away, and temperatures will plummet. Here’s everything you need to know.
This Weekend: Enjoy the early morning hours – it’s the best part of the day with temperatures in the mid-50s and dry conditions. An east breeze at 10-20 mph will arrive late this morning, bringing light showers and chilly temperatures with it. Expect showers from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with on-and-off showers continuing tonight. Temperatures this afternoon will remain steady near 50°F, with mid- to upper 40s tonight.
Sunday morning will be foggy with showers, but conditions will improve in the afternoon. Peeks of sunshine are possible on Sunday afternoon, with a stray shower in between. Temperatures will jump from the mid-40s on Sunday morning to the mid-50s in the afternoon.
Messy Monday Morning? A period of steady rain is expected overnight on Sunday and could linger into the early Monday morning commute. Rain showers are less likely in the late morning and afternoon, but cloudy skies and fog may linger. Keep the jackets handy Monday afternoon – it's cloudy, and temperatures will struggle to reach 50°F.
Freezing Cold! Tuesday and Wednesday will bring our coldest weather in the past two weeks. Expect a mix of clouds, with morning temperatures in the 30s and afternoon highs near 50°F. Wednesday morning will be the coldest, with temperatures likely falling below freezing. While spring bulbs and hardy annuals like pansies and primrose will be okay, make sure to bring in any tender plants, as they could be damaged.
A Warm-Up? Rain will return Friday and Saturday, but temperatures will rebound, and early next week is shaping up to be much nicer, with highs in the 60s.
