There is a RIP CURRENT STATEMENT for the New Jersey coastline today due to the high threat for the development of dangerous rip currents.
FORECAST:
Today's weather is gorgeous with sunshine ahead of tomorrow's rain. The clouds build tonight after a day with warm high temperatures in the mid-70s. The showers arrive overnight into the morning where the rain is heaviest south of the Driscoll Bridge and along the Garden State Parkway. Rain totals up to near 0.5" along the Jersey Shore with areas inland seeing only sprinkles and clouds.
Windy conditions are expected east of the parkway with gusts near 30 mph. Winds inland won't be as strong. The rain begins to wrap up in the afternoon and evening with breezy conditions continuing.
There will be better weather overnight into Thursday. Thursday looks good with a mostly sunny sky and fair conditions. It will be warm and somewhat humid with highs near 81 degrees.
Friday's weather turns more fall-like and fresh again with highs back int the mid-70s under a mostly sunny sky.
This pattern continues into the weekend and next week.
