A Port Chester street was renamed Friday for Phil Lesh, a founding member and bassist for the Grateful Dead.
The Village of Port Chester honored him by dedicating Phil Lesh Lane at the corner of Broad Street and Westchester Avenue, just one day before Lesh would have turned 85 years old.
Lesh died last year at the age of 84.
He performed 106 times at the historic theater, more than any other artist.
"We spent so much time here at the Capitol Theatre and in Port Chester...it's just a really special weekend," said Phil's son, Grahame Lesh.
The Capitol Theatre is also hosting four consecutive nights of music featuring Grahame Lesh, alongside other musicians.
