Firefighters from nine departments responded to a blaze in Nassau County Monday night.
Flames broke out at a dentist’s office that also has an apartment on the second floor, fire officials say.
The fire started around 9 p.m. on Jerusalem Avenue in Hicksville.
One adult occupant of the home was evaluated for injuries at the scene and is now displaced from the apartment, according to the Nassau Fire Marshal’s Office.
The office belongs to dentist John Marino, D.D.S.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the fire marshal and the Nassau Police Arson Bomb Squad.
