Rep. Frank Pallone announced he has secured $850,000 in community project funding for traffic and pedestrian safety enhancements at a busy intersection in New Brunswick.
The intersection of Jersey and Van Dyke avenues is one of the city's most dangerous intersections, according to Pallone. According to data collected by the city, the intersection has witnessed over 60 motor vehicle collisions between 2019 and 2023.
Pallone says the funding will improve safety by installing new LED traffic signals, accessible sidewalks and ramps, enhanced pavement markings and high visibility warning signs.
