A 73-year-old man is dead after being struck by a vehicle Friday night in Millburn.

The Essex County Prosecutor's Office says the Milburn Police Department received reports of a vehicle crash at the intersection of JFK Parkway and Fineran Way at 8:42 p.m.

The victim, identified as Joseph Francis Andolino, of North Palm Beach, Florida, was taken to Overlook Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:49 p.m.

Officials said the driver involved in the crash remained at the scene.

The circumstances surrounding the incident had not been released as of Saturday afternoon.
