A 71-year-old woman is in critical condition after being struck by a car in Dyker Heights.

Police say it happened just after 8 p.m. on Bay Ridge Parkway on Tuesday. A 42-year-old woman was going down Bay Ridge Parkway when she struck a 71-year-old woman crossing the street.

The 71-year-old woman sustained trauma to the body and was taken to Maimonides Medical Center by EMS. She is still in critical condition,

The driver of the car stayed on scene. There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
