A 70-year-old woman was seriously injured in a car crash Sunday afternoon in Huntington Station.
Suffolk County police say the woman was driving a 2012 Lexus RX350 eastbound on West Pulaski Road near Oakwood Road when she apparently lost consciousness just at 12:50 p.m.
Detectives say her vehicle then sideswiped a sedan and then struck an unoccupied parked vehicle, which caused a chain reaction that involved two more parked vehicles.
The woman continued eastbound and struck another parked vehicle.
The driver of the sedan was not injured.
The woman, whose identity was being withheld pending family notification as of Sunday night, was taken to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore with serious injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Suffolk County police ask anyone with information about the crash to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
