A new list of the best places to live in New York was just released and Long Island towns are dominating the rankings.

The village of Kensington, in Nassau County, took the top spot, and Great Neck Plaza came in second place.

Niche.com bases their factors on quality of education, cost of living, and crime rates.

Manhasset, Garden City, Lake Success, Syosset and Searingtown all ranked in the top ten, as well.

Stony Brook was the first Suffolk community to make the list, at 42.
