A 37-year-old man Wharton was killed in an early Wednesday morning crash on I-287 north in Morristown Township.

New Jersey State Police say Attem Petiukh was driving a Honda SUV when it struck the back of a Volvo tractor-trailer that was parked on the right shoulder while going through a curve.

Petiukh died as a result of the crash.

No one else was injured.

The circumstances that led to the crash were still not known as of Sunday night.
