Three people are facing charges connected with an attempt to escape police on Wednesday in Ulster County, according to authorities.

Kingston police say they spotted Sylvia Lowers near the corner of Broadway and Liberty streets. They attempted to apprehend her because she had a warrant for petit larceny.

Before the arrest could be completed, 21-year-old Christopher Brown drove a vehicle into the side of the police car.

Lowers escaped in a car driven by another woman while the police arrested Brown.

Both women were later located and arrested.
