A three-alarm fire heavily damaged a vacant home in Yonkers early Saturday morning, according to the Yonkers Fire Department.

Firefighters were called to Locust Hill Avenue just before 2 a.m. for reports of flames showing.

Upon arrival, crews found heavy fire coming from the upper floors of the 2½-story Victorian home.

Firefighters initially entered the building to search for possible occupants before determining the home was vacant.

Fire crews confirm it took nearly four hours to bring the fire under control.

The home sustained extensive damage and is no longer habitable.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Fire investigators are expected to remain at the scene as they work to determine what sparked the blaze.
