A 2-year-old boy died Saturday after he fell out of a window in Newark, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office says.

Police were called to 455 Elizabeth Ave. at 7 a.m. for a report of a child who fell from the 20th floor window.

Officials say the boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
