A plane that took off from MacArthur Airport crashed in the Hudson River upstate while making an emergency landing.

The plane is a Cessna 172, a small four-seat single-engine plane.
The plane came down Monday at around 8 p.m.
The Orange County executive tells News 12 the plane lost power and the two people on board were rescued from the river.
Those two people have not yet been identified but News 12 is told their injuries are minor and they were examined at an area hospital.
The Orange County executive says the plane is slowly sinking but that the Coast Guard is working on pulling the plane out of the Hudson.
