Officials say two people were injured after a fire ripped through an apartment building in Morris Heights.
According to the FDNY, the fire started just before 9 a.m. Tuesday.
The FDNY says the fire started inside of an apartment on the top floor and quickly spread to the roof.
Dozens of tenants stood on the sidewalk watching firefighters work to put out the fire.
FDNY says two people were injured. The extent of their injuries is unclear.
Red Cross was on scene assisting displaced tenants.
Fire marshals are still investigating the cause.
