2 officers struck by driver after traffic stop in Gravesend
Two police officers were struck by a driver after a traffic stop in Gravesend early Tuesday morning.
Police say that just after 4:30 a.m. at the intersection of West 8th Street and Quentin Road, officers were conducting a traffic stop. Just as they exited their car, the driver of a gray Mercedes revered and collided with two officers.
One officer sustained minor injuries to his legs and the other sustained injuries to his foot. Both were taken to local area hospitals and are expected to be OK.
There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
