Two men from Georgia are facing charges after police say they were impersonating delivery drivers, forcing their way into a Stamford home, and assaulting the homeowners.
Late Monday morning police were called to the home and spoke to a husband and wife who said two men dressed as Amazon delivery drivers forced their way into their home with guns.
The husband was struck multiple times in the face, but did manage to activate the home's alarm system.
Police say the second suspect went after the woman, but she was able to call 911 before the suspect grabbed her and held a pillow over her head.
The suspects were identified as 24-year-old Hayes Edmonds and 25-year-old Sam Oduor, from Georgia. They fled when they heard the alarm.
Police later arrested them with the guns. Both were charged with home invasion and assault.
Police say the suspects were arraigned on Tuesday and are due back in court in early March. They are being held on a $2 million bond.
