A teenager is facing charges in a deadly crash in Bridgewater that left one person dead.

Authorities say 19-year-old Dylan Baez has been charged with vehicular homicide and assault by auto.

Prosecutors say the crash happened Saturday night at the intersection of Finderne Avenue and Van Veghten Drive.

Officials say Baez crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a Kia head-on.

The driver of the Kia was taken to the hospital but later died from their injuries.

Three other people in the vehicle were hurt but survived the crash.

Authorities say Baez is currently being treated at a hospital.

Once he is released, officials say he will be taken to the Somerset County Jail.
