Police say an 18-year-old man is dead after being shot in chest Sunday afternoon in Brownsville.

Investigators say the shooting happened in the vicinity of 375 Blake Ave. just after 3 p.m.

Quahmir Cruz, of Brooklyn, was taken to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale Hospital Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

A description of the suspect or a motive was not immediately known as of Sunday evening.
