A 16-year-old boy was hospitalized in critical condition Friday after colliding with a vehicle while riding a scooter in Newark, authorities said.
The crash happened around 3:15 p.m. at Clinton Avenue and Wright Street, near Elizabeth Avenue, according to Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda.
The teenager was taken to University Hospital for treatment. The driver remained at the scene, authorities said.
No additional details were immediately available.
