14 people displaced following overnight Bridgeport fire

Firefighters responded to Connecticut and Union Avenues for a fire at a commercial building at 12:15 a.m. The fire was put out three hours later, but briefly reignited at 4:50 a.m., according to city officials.

Fourteen people have been displaced following a fire overnight Sunday in Bridgeport.
Firefighters responded to Connecticut and Union Avenues for a fire at a commercial building at 12:15 a.m.
City officials say the 14 people lived in a home adjacent to the building.
The fire was put out three hours later, but briefly reignited at 4:50 a.m., according to city officials.
The rekindled fire was quickly put out.
No one was injured.
The Red Cross is assisting with relocating the residents.
