A 1-year-old boy was hospitalized after being bitten in a Van Nest home, according to the NYPD.
Police initially responded to a 911 call reporting an assault near the East 149th Street and Third Avenue subway station in Mott Haven around 3 a.m.
When they arrived, officers say they found the baby with a bite wound to his back. Police did not say who or what bit the child.
Further investigation determined the incident occurred inside a home at 1733 Fillmore St. in Van Nest at 2 a.m., according to police.
The boy was taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition.
