Mayor Eric Adams announced a new program for New York City Public Schools aimed to help teach students about hate crimes.
The new curriculum includes five lessons that aim to improve children's understanding of the impact these crimes have in their community.
The lessons build off the "Breaking Bread, Building Bonds" initiative.
It will be available to students grades 6-12 and will be offered online.
