A woman accused of biting, kicking and spitting at officers Tuesday in Wayne is facing multiple charges.

Authorities say police confronted Galaxi-Star Douglas about multiple outstanding warrants in the parking lot of a hotel on Route 46.

They say she became argumentative, resisted arrest and began to attack the officers.

One officer had to be hospitalized for treatment of the bite wound, according to authorities.

The charges against Douglas include criminal mischief, aggravated assault, resisting arrest, obstruction of a governmental function and throwing bodily fluids at law enforcement.
