Families who've lost loved ones to gun violence held a vigil in Bridgeport Thursday as part of a national night of remembrance, with the main observance taking place at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Washington, DC.
"We're here at McLevy Green to show love and support for all of these families, because it's important for them to know they have not been forgotten," said Dawn Spearman, of Bridgeport.

"It says a lot about our purpose here that families came out in the cold weather to take part in this vigil," Spearman said.
