yesterdayA Paterson woman is now facing attempted murder, child endangerment and weapons charges in connection to the stabbing of a young child.
The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office says that Mabel Campechano was charged on Monday. She is accused of stabbing a 4-year-old girl several times on Aug. 23. This occurred near East 24th Street and 10th Avenue in Paterson.
Campechano is currently being held at the Bergen County Jail pending a hearing. Prosecutors say that Campechano is the child’s aunt.
