Police: Teenage e-bike rider fatally struck by car in Somers Point

The driver of the car is a Philadelphia resident. She and her three young passengers were uninjured.

A 16-year-old riding an e-bike was fatally struck by a car Thursday in Somers Point, according to police.
Authorities say it happened before 8 p.m. on the bike path at Maryland Avenue. He was taken to Cooper University Health Care’s Trauma Center, where he died.
The driver of the car is a Philadelphia resident. She and her three young passengers were uninjured.
Somers Point police say they are investigating the incident.
